1977 36mm Rolex Datejust ref.16014 cal.3035 18k WG Bezel Patina Silver Linen Dial Automatic Watch Only
This Rolex Datejust 16014 stands apart for its beautifully aged silver linen dial, which has developed a distinctive champagne-gold patina over the decades, giving the otherwise familiar Datejust an entirely different character. Its intricate cross-hatched texture catches the light from different angles, revealing warm golden hues, darker oxidation around the perimeter and subtle variations in tone that make each detail uniquely captivating. Complemented by aged baton hour markers, luminous hands, an 18K white-gold fluted bezel and the iconic Jubilee bracelet, this example retains the timeless elegance of the classic 36mm Datejust while the calibre 3035 provides the convenience of a quickset date. Today, it is the combination of its richly weathered linen dial, naturally developed patina and unmistakable vintage character that makes this example far more interesting than the countless conventional silver Datejusts on the market.
