1990s 31x40mm Tissot Ballade Tank ref.C259 cal. ETA2824-2 Automatic Swiss WATCH ONLY

The Tissot Ballade captures the 1990s era when Swiss brands revived classical elegance with modern ETA reliability. Its rectangular case, fluted two-tone bezel, and guilloché dial lend a refined, almost Art-Deco charm. Usually in a round body, so this tonneau shaped ballade is pretty rare to say the least.
Positioned as an accessible alternative to Longines DolceVita, it offered Swiss prestige at a more approachable price point.
Inside beats the dependable ETA 2824-2 automatic, a 25-jewel workhorse with quickset date.
Fun fact: the Ballade name would later be revived by Tissot in the 2010s, but only for models with the then-new Powermatic 80 silicon balance spring.

Condition is 8/10. Moderate wear showing. Beautiful for its age. Lightly hand-cloth clean polished. Running beautifully -3sec/day @ 28800vph. WATCH ONLY. All Original. Max wrist size 16.2cm. Free leather strap.
