Introduced in 1996 to mark Omega’s partnership with Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher, this Speedmaster Reduced belongs to the original Racing collection that preceded the later numbered limited editions. Its striking glossy red dial is complemented by a contrasting white racing minute track, yellow chronograph hands and a black tachymeter bezel, creating one of the most distinctive colour combinations in Speedmaster history. Powered by the Omega calibre 1143 automatic chronograph movement, it retains the familiar Speedmaster design in a more wearable 39mm case, complete with its stainless steel bracelet. Produced for only a relatively short period in the late 1990s, the original Schumacher Racing series has become an increasingly interesting alternative to the conventional black-dial Speedmaster.
