Up for sale is this 1980s Girard-Perregaux Gold Plated Art Deco Octagon Tank ref.4656PJ cal.101-329 Manual Winding Swiss Watch Only – 28x36mm.
This Girard-Perregaux captures the bold geometric design language of the late 1970s and early ’80s.
Its octagonal gold-plated case with blue enamel accents frames a minimalist champagne dial.
Three diamond indices add just the right amount of understated luxury to the clean two-hand layout.
Inside beats a slim hand-wound GP 101-329 caliber with 17 jewels and classic Swiss finishing.
Fun fact: GP was experimenting heavily in this era, offering both luxury quartz and elegant manual-winds like this one.
“PJ” in GP’s cataloguing usually denoted Plaqué Jaune (yellow gold-plated case).
