The Must de Cartier 21 was Cartier’s elegant response to the late-’80s luxury-sport watch boom, softer and dressier than most steel sports watches of the era.
Ref. 9010 features the larger 31mm case with the signature engraved Roman numeral bezel, one of Cartier’s most recognizable non-Tank designs.
Inside is the Cartier Cal. 81, a jeweled Swiss quartz movement chosen for slimness and reliability, giving the watch an ultra-thin wrist presence.
These early France-made examples still feel distinctly vintage Cartier: understated, refined, and unmistakably Parisian in design language.
Collectors are revisiting Must 21 references because they remain relatively accessible vintage Cartiers with strong period identity and recognizable design.
