This is Rolex from the later years of the Oysterdate Precision, with the 6694 remaining in production until around 1989–1990 before disappearing from the catalogue. Compared with earlier examples, the later-generation Oyster bracelet gives it a more substantial and modern feel on the wrist, while the compact case, champagne dial and straightforward date layout preserve the unmistakable character of vintage Rolex. It represents the final chapter of one of Rolex’s longest-running manually wound Oyster lines, just before the brand moved fully toward the automatic models that dominate today. With that history and a relatively accessible price point, the 6694 remains one of the best entry points into vintage Rolex ownership.
