1975 40mm Seiko Automatic Chronograph ref.6139 Grey Dial Watch Only

This Seiko 6139-7010 comes from the formative years of the automatic chronograph, pairing one of Seiko’s landmark movements with the sharply faceted casework that defined its early-1970s design language. Its champagne sunburst dial is framed by a contrasting black tachymeter track and 30-minute register, while the orange chronograph seconds hand gives the otherwise restrained design its unmistakable period character. Inside is Seiko’s 17-jewel calibre 6139B, an integrated column-wheel and vertical-clutch automatic chronograph that was remarkably sophisticated for its era. Today, the 6139 remains an important part of Seiko’s pioneering automatic-chronograph history, and the angular 7010 captures that technical significance in one of the more distinctly 1970s forms.
